One of the reasons I know I’m supposed to live on the west coast is because of places like the District at Green Valley. It’s like if an outdoor mall met bistro lights, palm trees and fruity martinis.
After my first visit a few years ago, I knew that I would be coming back. Two years later, I got a whole semester to explore this treasure and with the sweetest of friends by my side. It was only fitting that I grab some time with these beauts and snag a few shots!
During my time student teaching, I’d been on the hunt to find the perfect balance between comfortable/functionality, professionalism, and art-teacher proof clothing. I’ve been reppin’ the t-shirt dress team for some time now, and I love the flexibility it provides me to either dress up or dress down because of its simplicity. This tank t-shirt dress was a for-sure-find, and I’m excited to see how I can incorporate it into my fall closet because of the rich burgundy we all love so much.
Next, these over the knee boots are my true guilty pleasure. I’d been contemplating whether or not I could pull them off for some time (short girl struggles ya feel?) but I caved and decided that my love for them would just have to be enough even if they are too intense for me. But turns out- I’m finding them pretty adaptable! I chose the apricot suede, which definitely gives me a lot of options since it pairs well with most colors. Also- you can completely change the feel of these bad mamajammas by wearing them with jeans or a dress. I’m sure even a nice romper could be a killing in the summer too!
Either way, I don’t regret my decision and I’m excited to keep finding ways to wear them throughout the seasons. Paired with my go-to marble studs and a dark lip and I’m Districtin’ for dayysssss.
Also- my best friends are all so gorgeous it actually hurts from behind the lens. They literally look this good. All the time. Must be a west coast thing…agreed? Comment below with your fave downtown spots and your night-on-the-town looks
