Third try is a charm I guess because these babies were by far my greatest macaroon success. They tasted exactly like their name- like tiny puffs of sweet sparkly goodness. You can follow along with the recipe I used for this batch by clicking here. (it’s recipe #29)
I honestly don’t think I ran into any issues with this batch. If you follow the instructions, you won’t have any problems! I would say the trickiest part was definitely the filling. The instructions for the recipe are very specific, but totally necessary (as per usual in baking- or so I’m learning). I tried loop-holing around a few things and it definitely backfired because that batch of filling turned out separated and runny. If you want the strawberry filling to stand, you definitely will need to follow every step for this one.
All together, they turned out quite delicious and I will definitely have to make them a permanent addition to the macaroon repertoire. Give this recipe a spin and let me know how it worked out for you!
This week will forever go down in infamy for me personally because God continually showed up with the provision and His immeasurable goodness. My first batch of completely successful macaroons was just a small evidence that He is so incredibly thorough in His abundant hand of blessings. Three dream job offers- one of which covers my grad schooling- acceptance to grad school, and successfully completing my student teaching semester. And all within the course of several days. Unmerited favor all around friends- all of which simply screams that He is faithful. Faithful in every sense of the term because He himself embodies faithfulness. Amen in Jesus name.
So, wherever you are- hang in there. Diligence is not worthless- your Savior loves you and He is faithful because He cannot deny who He is.
Until then- cheers to the next baking adventure all you strawberries and coconuts<3
